Friend of ours gave us this hot chocolate/milkshake mix for Christmas and we kind of forgot we had it. Well, when cleaning out the cabinets to paint earlier this week, i found it and Tasha’s wanted it ever since. Today, I decided it would be fun to share it with her, so I warmed it up and YUM! It had marshmellows and mini-m&m’s and boy was it tasty. Tasha didn’t like it at all, as you can see from the picture below!

Word Wizard

Kevin hasn’t been feeling so good lately, since he got a cold three weeks ago and is also getting four eye teeth at the same time. We were happily surprised that he was feeling more like himself for quite a big part of today. Not only did he play with toys and eat ok, he said 4 new words! All in one day! He pointed at some pictures that are framed in our front entrance and said “Dada”, which he’s said before, but we’re never been sure that it was intentional before. He also asked me to pick him “up”. Later, he handed me a toy that can be turned on and asked me to “help”. Finally, we were looking at a book that had pictures of farm things and I pointed out things here and there and he copied me when I showed him the tractor! So fun to hear his new little words.

No, it’s not what you think! =) Kevin wouldn’t eat his food the other day. Nothing I could do would make him eat. He threw the hugest fit, finally throwing himself at my feet and crying. I couldn’t figure it out! (this was before his teething started. He now has four eye teeth coming in!) Well, later I decided to try it again and this time I gave HIM the spoon. He was as happy as a clam! Now, most of the time he won’t let us feed him at all. He has to be using a fork or a spoon just like his big sister!

Finally! Christmas Photos

Here are a ton of Christmas pictures we took. We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at Lee and Ellen’s (Ammon’s parents). Ammon’s oldest sister, Christina, was there with her family (the two boys are hers) and Julina, his youngest sister was there as well and then we had the pleasure of having Grampa Manning there too. The kids had a great time playing together, despite their fatigue from staying up late and wearing themselves out! We played in the snow after opening a million presents on Christmas Day. Lots of fun memories!

Quiet time

Tasha got these wooden beads and strings from Grandma and Papa Manning for Christmas a year ago, but didn’t quite get the concept of them until recently. I showed her how to string them and make a necklace and it’s her favorite new thing to do! The best part is, she concentrates so hard while doing it and is as quiet as a mouse.

I’m sad to report that the Manning household is full of a bunch of sickos! hee hee Tasha and Kevin have a nasty cold, though Kevin is much worse than her. I’m starting to feel it coming on as well, but I’m determined not to get it! Tasha has been really sweet to her brother when he’s sad, bringing him a toy or a book, and patting his back when he coughs, saying, “Kevin, ok?” and giving him kisses on his head. It’s pretty cute to see.

Its bright outside!

Natasha found an extra pair of sunglasses and decided it was too bright inside.  I don’t think there was that much sunlight, but with all the camera flashes going off, I’m sure she was glad to have them on!
