The first week of June, we had the joy of joining the Mannings and Narayans in Granby, Co. It’s about 5 1/2 hours from where we are and is close to Grand Lake which is a cute little town with lots of fun shops, boating and a swimming beach. Our week was packed with fun. I don’t think we stopped for air the whole time we were there. We took family photos, went boating, fishing, swimming at the pool, hiking to a waterfall, had picnic’s in the park, canoed and shopped. One of the highlights for Ammon and I was that we went on a short bike-ride one morning and saw two Moose by the side of the road. I’d never seen them in the wild before. It was pretty neat. The kids had a great time with their cousins as always and as always us grown-ups made way too much food.

Kevin loves fishing! He was able to help Grampa pull this one in.
This was letter boxing. If you don’t what it is, check out: www.letterboxing.org It’s kind of like a treasure hunt for a box that someone has hidden. Inside it is a notebook/guestbook of sorts and you stamp your own little notebook that you bring with you. It’s great fun for kids. We’re thinking about planting some of our own in Ridgway.
