Back to School!

Up until a week before school started, I was having very mixed feelings about my kiddies going back to school. I’m much more efficient and productive when they’re at school and its great to not have to be a referee. And yet….I really enjoyed our somewhat crazy summer. I loved having the kids home, doing fun things with them and just seeing them so much each day. The older they get, the more fun they are, the more we can relate to each other…

Then a few days before school…I was SO ready! =)

Kevin all ready for Second grade! He wasn’t excited about his teacher, but he’s grown to love him in the past two weeks!

No, this isn’t her back to school photo…but she started a week later than the other two, so we spent some quality Annika-Mommy time together. This was our first day. She was helping me make…something.

This is her back to school picture! What a cutie!

And a close-up shot because I love her hair like this! We cut it right before school because it was a lot longer, but also not very thick. When I cut it, she looked in the mirror and said “I look so cute!” (squeal).

Last Summer Update

I know, I should’ve done this in the summer! But hey, life gets busy!

We tried to go camping the first weekend in August, but the weather didn’t want to cooperate with us. We had the kids all pumped up to go, so we decided a min-vacation in Grand Junction was in order. We stayed at the cheapest hotel we could find, which actually was just fine. Dinner at Old Chicago, Smurfs 2 at the theater, then to bed for us! The next day, Ammon had some training to go to, so the kids and I swam in the pool, played at the park and shopped at the mall till he was done. After that, we went to CherryBerry Yogurt, a self-serve yogurt bar-AWESOME! I loved it! Then we headed home.

Do ya think she has enough stuffed animals?!!! Please, oh please, no one buy her anymore!

I forget his name…I tried to name him Fred…it didn’t fly. Kevin found him outside somewhere and kept him in a box for a while. He even survived our kitty-cats beady eyes and quick paws. We let him go eventually.

This is Garfield…ahem, I mean Oscar. He’s our squishy, hungry, lazy ball of full that loves to be held like a baby.
