The SWAMP MAN…..(coming to a swamp near you!)

Ammon has been back in the paintball-swing of things since we moved to Eagle. The youth and guys at church often go and Ammon is thrilled to join them. Even our kids have had a go at the paintball gun and think it’s great fun to splat paint all over the place. (with Daddy’s help, of course)

If you know Ammon at all, you know he’s an all or nothing kind of guy, a black or white, thorough, throw himself into it dude….so, without further ado….I present…..

THE SWAMP MAN!!!!

Can you see him?

Ok, it’s really called a GHILLY SUIT and I guess snipers use it to blend into their surroundings. Ammon has been working on this thing for a little over a month and has been teased mercilessly by me…it’s most commonly been the “swamp-man suit”, but at one point, was a grass skirt, and a dress and cousin it….Ammon can’t wait to try it out when he’s in the woods paintballing. Try and get him now! Don’t you love him!!!! =)

Preschool-UPDATE…

It’s official! I’m little girl, is no longer so little. She LOVES her two days at preschool and if we could afford more days, we’d send her for more. I picked her up from school last week and took her to run some errands, and she literally skipped through the store. She’s made some friends and tells me how she pushes her friends on the swings and plays baby dolls with them. One day, her teacher told me that all the kids were playing with toys and Tasha gave everyone cups with pretend drinks in them. One of her standout qualities truly is how thoughtful and compassionate she is.

On Tuesdays at school, Tasha and some other kids gets to play in a room with different toys than they play with every day. Wednesdays, they go to storytime at the local library and play at the park.

Preschool is probably the best thing I’ve ever done for her!

PRESCHOOL!!!!!!

Today is Tasha’s first day of preschool. I wasn’t sure if it was going to happen since there is such a high demand for preschool around here. We’ve been on 5 waiting lists since February, but most of them were 100 kids long. We got lucky and got into one that’s only 5 min away.

Yesterday, Tasha had her outfit all picked out and chose what she wanted to take for lunch. When we arrived there this morning, I opened the door to unbuckle her car seat and she was practically hyperventilating she was so excited!

Here’s Tasha right before we left….she picked a dress-of course!

Just for the record, I didn’t tell her to pose…this is just classic Tasha!

Close up!

I had mixed feelings this morning after dropping her off. Kevin did too. He wanted to go to “cool” too. I’m excited for her to learn and make new friends. I’m also really glad to have some time to do things at home with only two kids, one of whom sleeps most of the day! And since she and Kevin have been fighting a lot lately…the break is a plus. On the flip side of the coin….this big step means, my little girl is officially growing up and before long will no longer care if I play with her or think I’m cool. =) Yet, it’s a needed stepping stone for her, for me, and for Kevin….look for an update later on how her first day went!

Daddy-Daughter Campout

There was a church campout last weekend, so Ammon and Tasha went for a night and a day. I’m bummed I missed out, but the pictures are so good that I almost feel like I was there! The campsites were by a lake and they had a chance to go canoeing and did a little off-roading the next day too.

I don’t know details about many of the pictures, so I’ll have to add the descriptions later!

Tasha’s first time in a canoe

As I was re-sizing this on the computer, Tasha told me that she was throwing rocks into the lake for “the dog”…I don’t know what dog, but I guess that’s what she’s doing in this pic!

Tasha took this picture! Her first one!!!! Pretty good for age 4, methinks!

I LOVE this picture. Breathtaking!

The joys of camping…helping yourself to a bag of chips. A kids paradise!

Fun with Friends

So…of course the day that our friends Kylene & Jeremy were scheduled to come, it had to be the most hectic, insane, stressful day…All’s well that ends well I guess because we ended up having a great time anyways. They were only here for less than 24 hours, but it was wonderful to visit and catch up and get to know Jeremy a little better. (Kylene was my college roomie for any who didn’t know)….

Right before they left, we realized we hadn’t taken a picture…so here it is.

Dress up time!

We actually stayed for all three hours of church today and Annika got to wear her first dress. Of course, I’d forgotten that they end up covered in a blanket most of the time, but she looked adorable under the blanket!

So cute!

Posing already!

(Untitled)

As usual, Kevin wouldn’t give me a smile for the picture. First I got the “I’m trying not to smile” look…..but finally, he couldn’t hold in his giggles any longer.

More Grandparent Pics

So, it was Sunday night…I’m sitting on the couch realizing that Ellen (ammon’s mom) was here for a whole week, a WEEK, and did we take any pics of her and Annika? Not a one! I was so bummed! At least we’ll see Lee and Ellen again in a month for Annika’s blessing. We’ll have to make up for it then.

Here are some more pics of my Dad and the kids and Lee and Annika.

Being silly….runs in the family!

Having a good laugh at our craziness

After the one silly picture, we couldn’t get Tasha to stick her tongue back in!
